Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

 

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your health care services are expected to cost.

 

Under federal law, health care providers are required to provide patients who do not have insurance, or who are not using insurance to pay for their care, an estimate of the expected charges for non-emergency health care services, including counseling services.

 

You may ask Live Secure Counseling PLLC for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

 

If you schedule a service at least 3 business days in advance, you are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate within the timeframes required by federal law.

 

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate from a provider, you may be eligible to dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
