You don't have to carry this alone.
Maybe you've been carrying something for a long time.
You've learned how to keep going. To take care of what needs to be taken care of. Maybe even to look like you're doing just fine.
But something inside you knows you're tired.
Tired of holding it all together.
Tired of finding yourself in the same painful places.
Tired of wondering why you react the way you do—or why the things you thought you'd be past by now still hurt.
Maybe you don't even know what's wrong.
You just know you don't want to keep living this way.
I'm glad you're here.

Your story makes sense.
You don't need to have it organized before you come.
You don't need to know where to begin.
And you don't have to worry that something you tell me will make me think differently of you.
You can bring the parts that make sense.
And the parts that don't.
The things you're proud of.
And the things you've worked very hard to hide.
We'll slow down.
I'll listen.
And together, we'll begin to wonder.
Not What's wrong with you?
But...
What happened here?
What have you been carrying?
What have you needed?
And what have you learned to do when that need felt too vulnerable to name?
There are reasons you've learned to protect yourself.
Maybe you work harder.
Keep everyone happy.
Stay in control.
Pull away before someone can get too close.
Hide the parts of yourself you're afraid might be too much.
Find ways to quiet what hurts.
Sometimes the very things that helped us survive become the things that leave us feeling stuck.
That doesn't make them failures.
And it doesn't make you one either.
Of course you learned to protect what hurt.
We don't have to tear those protections down.
We can become curious about them.
And when it's safe enough, we can begin listening for what's underneath.
What does your heart long for?
Maybe it's to finally rest.
To feel safe without having to control everything around you.
To be known without having to perform.
To matter without having to earn it.
To trust that someone can know the whole story and stay.
To feel at home in your own life again.
There is nothing shameful about those longings.
They tell us something precious about you.
And sometimes, when we stop fighting ourselves long enough to listen, we begin to hear what has been there all along.
We can take our time here.
I won't be in a hurry to get you somewhere.
There isn't a place you should be by now.
This is where you are.
And we can begin here.
We'll make room for what hurts.
We'll grieve what needs to be grieved.
We'll become curious about the things you've come to believe about yourself.
We'll notice what changes when those beliefs are met with truth and compassion instead of shame.
And we'll listen for what is being invited now.
Sometimes the invitation is to risk.
Sometimes it's to grieve.
Sometimes it's to tell the truth.
Sometimes it's to receive.
Sometimes...
it's simply to stay right where we are for a little while.
There's always an invitation. We can get quiet and listen.
There is more of you here.
Fear can be loud.
Shame can be convincing.
And the ways we've learned to survive can become so familiar that eventually they begin to feel like who we are.
But they aren't all of you.
Healing isn't about finally arriving at some better version of yourself.
It's an unfolding.
More freedom to discover.
More truth to live from.
More capacity to love and be loved.
More of yourself you're safe enough to bring into the light.
And perhaps, over time, a growing ability to meet yourself where you are with the same compassion you've so freely offered everyone else.
Not finished.
Not finally "there."
Just...
one faithful step at a time.
